A little bit about me.

Thus far, my creative career has been anything by linear. I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2015 and immediately dove into corporate America, freelancing through Robert Half and working in-house gigs for the likes of Verizon, Amazon, Vivitar, and more.

Work was steady, but I felt unfulfilled being asked to do the same things day in and day out. I needed to spread my wings and utilize my creative arsenal to its fullest extent.

So, I took my last gig and then branched off on my own. I quickly built a shining reputation on Upwork and before long, had solidified relationships with several repeat clients from around the world.

And because the instability of freelancing just wasn’t stressful enough for me, I simultaneously booked a one-way trip to Spain and spent a good chunk of my solo career living throughout Europe in cities such as Barcelona, Malaga, Paris, Belgrade, and Istanbul.

Upon returning from my travels, I settled in my old college town of Savannah, Georgia. There, I began building my local network and made myself cozy at a small co-working space in an up-and-coming part of town.

I continued to service my existing client base until I ran into the good folks at Candor through a friend. They had this crazy idea to revolutionize the health insurance industry… and since I had had a bumpy introduction to US healthcare myself, I enthusiastically went all in.

They started me off with the role of Principal Designer, but after only two months (startup time), I found myself with the role of Creative Director at just 26 years old. I wore just about every hat within the creative stack and beyond.

It was stressful, it was fast-paced, it was brutal. But it supercharged my career, teaching me everything from web development and art direction to managing a team and high-profile clients.

After about two years, Candor got acquired by a New Jersey health insurance brokerage called MyHealthily… and just like that, stability was brought to this once volatile tech startup.

At this point, I didn’t see the need for a “war-time Creative Director”; the business was stable and only one hat was required from each employee (imagine that).

So, I put in my two weeks and pivoted directly into the entrepreneurial venture of building a digital agency. Momentum built up quickly, but business has been good. And as with any creative professional, I’m always open to taking on new and exciting challenges to put my skills to the test.

I don’t bite, so reach out today and let’s chat!
